SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Thanks for your interest in submitting to Dust on Crust. We’re pumped to see what you've got, whether it’s writing, photography or art.
SUBJECT MATTER:
Dust on Crust is here to tell stories that capture real mountain life, behind-the-scenes stuff that makes skiing what it is. Whether it’s comical mid-mountain bar moments, grinding in the ski industry, bootfitting nightmares, telemark memes, we want submissions that are authentic, gritty, and maybe a little bit sarcastic. No need for epic, high-altitude backcountry adventures, just keep it real.
Please note: We reserve the right not to publish a submission for any reason, and we might not tell you why if we don’t go forward with it. If anything crosses the line in terms of inappropriate or hateful content, it’ll go straight into the trash.
COPY EDITING:
All writing submissions will be edited by a professional copy editor. Most of the changes will be technical (punctuation, grammar, etc.), but if something needs clarification, we’ll reach out to make sure we’ve got it right before finalizing.
PHOTO FORMAT:
We accept images in .png, .jpg, or .jpeg formats. High-quality, high-res photos are required.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
Send your submission to dustoncrustmag@gmail.com as an attachment or a link to download it from a file-sharing platform like Dropbox, or Google Drive. Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox, we might have a couple of follow-up questions.
COMPENSATION:
If we publish your work, you’ll get a copy of the issue featuring your submission, a Dust on Crust t-shirt and a few stickers to thank you for your contribution.
